@ImNotMentaL does that mean the alpha value is hardcoded, too? also, what about the "z-layer" type behavior i was talking about? also, i think i may have a solution for the flickering... it seems to shake about a bunch when driving in certain areas, namely those with frequent tiny elevation changes.. like streets with uneven pavement. perhaps a solution for this is to have a check, and only update the y-coordinate if it has changed above a certain level (like +/- 0.05).
Also, yes please let us control the x/y location - the speedometer is blocked completely in some views in some vehicles - i.e. some big/long trucks and mission vehicles.
Thanks again for your awesome work!
@zQrba hey mane! I commented like 6 months ago, what gives? I like this mod and want to see you do more. And I'm willing to donate to ya! See my previous comment. Hope you are still alive and modding and doing well!
Could you expand this mod, or create one in a similar vein, where you don't smash windows to enter cars, either? Franklin seems to be the only one who steals cars without smashing the windows... can you make a mod so that Trevor, Michael, and Franklin never smash the car window to enter it?
Also, d-pad down is how you zoom the map, will that conflict with this mod?
If I subscribe to this mod and install it, is it currently working? Do I need anything else or will it work out of the box with a corner van and corner people? Also, does it really disable the ambulances?
@ImNotMental I am really liking how simple and clean this is. Question, can I use a custom color, either a hex code or rgb triplet?
Also question: can you make it so it is "always on top" i.e. on the highest z layer? When you drive near walls or objects, it disappears inside them... it'd be great if it were always visible.
Last question: can we relocate it in the X/Y space? Like if I'd like to raise it up and to the left a little bit more towards the car's roof/windshield?
Thanks for this and definitely 5/5!
5/5 Stars this does work - you will have to probably do a little bit of poking and prodding on your own, but if you examine each file/folder you can understand their relationships and just what this mod does, very well.
Thank you also for the tutorial. There was only one part I was confused about, but I think I just guessed and was correct and now I can't remember what part that was lol so no worries!
@Masked are you still working on this? I've had some weird issues where some cars will only go like 5 or 10 mph especially dirtbikes after falling off.
@Hunk are there any configurable options? It may be nice to have like a volume adjustment, in case you want it louder, or more quiet than the music you listen to in the car...
@Hunk If I want to download and use your traffic cops/traffic cameras mod, should I still download this? I guess what I'm asking is, are these two separate mods, or is this mods functionality included in the traffic cops/cameras one here https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/trafficcameras ?
@jedijosh920 Like many others, I appreciate your work, truly. But it seems we like the rain, but aren't in love with it. Meaning, can you make an .ini file with some options for us? For instance, I'd like it to rain maybe 75 - 80% of the time, but not when it isn't appropriate. Or can we always have it rain during certain times, but not during others? Or at the very least, a hotkey to turn it off for mission critical times?
