The long-awaited law enforcement overhaul of Dani02's fantastic Vapid Scout model! Based on the 2012-2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (FPIU), particularly ones currently in use today with the LAPD.
The perfect suppression tool for those un-welcome civil protests...
Features:
- All basic vehicle functions: breaking glass, dirt mapping, proper LODs etc
- Improved Vapid Scout, having a conversion to police spec and other general enhancements
- Lore Friendly LSPD design, fits well into the game world
- Modern police interior equipment, with a centre dash console and LED spots!
- Added Boot equipment, the same used on roadblocks during wanted levels
- Greater inspiration taken from the real LAPD counterpart
- Lore Friendly Ford Interceptor style steelies
- Optionals include a fully mapped development model and template for creators looking to produce their own version
- Option to restore the vanilla police markings or Scout lights
I plan to update this mod more in the future, with differen't parts and maybe new some variants like an unmarked version, Los Santos Sheriff, etc

ATTENTION ALL EPIC MODDERS: The base model in the DLC is not mapped to any template, it was designed souly for people who just want a new cop car in their game. A mapped DEV version is included in the optionals section of this mod, please use THIS as a base for any skins or model projects you wish to create, thank you.
@Menao78 Its possible but I won't include it in this mod, if you look at mods such as Cops Back On The Beat, you can edit the files to have any police vehicles you want patrol the streets
@LSPDFR BC Look into mods such as "Cops Back On The Beat" you can edit the files from that to have it spawn on the streets. As for spawning at police stations, that's not possible unless I edit the map zone files, which Im not interested, nor aware of how to do.

can i use it as replace?
I love the look of this vehicle but I just can't get it to work. I've installed an add-on vehicle model and a texture replacement before and they've both worked fine, and can be spawned using the RPH console.
When I type Spawn POLSCOUT into the RPH console it just says "Invalid call to console command "Spawn": cannot load invalid model with hash 0xbf6d4788". I copied the files exactly as the ReadMe said to, and I haven't edited them at all.
If anyone can give me any advice to fix this issue I'd be really grateful.

Turns out the reason the vehicle wouldn't spawn is because I'm an idiot lol. The ReadMe does clearly say you need a trainer to spawn the car; I didn't realise that the RPH console isn't a plugin.
The car looks great and there's a choice of vanilla or lore friendly liveries (both look like they fit in the game with the other vanilla cars though). I always thought the game was missing a police SUV so I'm really pleased with this.
Would be a full five stars if it could be spawned through the RPH console (my other add-on vehicles can).
It might be helpful for other people new to modding like me if the ReadMe was edited to explicitly explain that RPH console won't spawn this car.
@ambl97 It's "scoutpol" when you spawn it. For future, just install the file, then go into the dlc.rpf in openiv and look for the vehicles.rpf, model name is the vehicle file.
@Vx5 Voltage before i download this mod, is there anyway you can make this patrol on the streets and be used by the police?
Thanks for this! Tried a whole bunch of other Scout models and this one fits perfectly within my non-ELS, non-Amber fleet.
Would you consider making an all-white LSC Sheriff version?
I don't suppose you could tell me how to get it to spawn with just the bullbars naturally?

I just used this mod to replace the police cruiser that you see everywhere (file name is police3). I got it to spawn at first but the interior textures were broken and fixed that by replacing the police3 vehicles.meta file and it works fine now. I am having a problem with the headlights now. When the sirens turn on the headlights flash rapidly and the headlighs on the vehicle turn on and off as if they were part of the siren. I was wondering if you had any tips on how I might go about fixing this since I did use your mod.
Relating to my previous comment I actually managed to fix it. Im going to keep these comments here though so people who do the same will have future reference. All I did was go to (Using OpenIV) mods/update/update.rpf/x64/data and open carvariations.ymt and search police 3 until I found the line called <sirenSettings value="2"/> and changed the 2 to a 1. This should work with pretty much any car with sirens as far as I know but I could be incorrect. Never the less, thanks for a great mod!
@Vx5 Voltage I really like the model, however I would like to somehow change the lightbar to default GTA police lightbar so it fits with other police vehicles, can you please give me some tips or advices to do so?
