This mod will alter how the game spawns trains, making them longer and with more engines. Trams have a chance of spawning with two cars, and sometimes freight trains might spawn in the city. Optional traincar reskins are included.

Q: I installed this mod, but now there are NO trains whatsoever in game!
A: Make sure you didn't disable them with any trainers by accident. This has also happened to me, and I have no idea why it's caused. So, sorry about that.
Q: My game always wants to download an update when I install this mod, what do I do?
A: Use OpenIV's mod folder. You can learn more on their website.
Q: I followed the instructions, but I still get normal trains in-game. What do?
A: Use OpenIV's mod folder.
Q: Can you add xy feature with scripts?
A: No. I'm not a scripter.

- Different train spawning system. The game can spawn up to four engine trains, aswell as single engines. The longest train is about 80 cars long. (The game doesn't allow more than 100 cars on a train.)
- Train reskins.
- Freight engine - Union Pacific
- Boxcar - BNSF
- Container car 1 - Maersk
- Container car 2 - Various railroad companies. CSX on the side.
- Tanker car - Black metal texture
- Freight engine - Union Pacific
- The trains now stop at stations like they do in GTAOnline. They also stop at new stations all around LS!

@More Textures Yes, if you look for his edited stations in trains1.dat, he has them named, so beginning Lumber Mill you can see last number is 2 and so all of those he named. Change them all to 1 and doors will stop flapping, it's not that many. Make backup in case of any mistake.
when i replace the trains.xml and traintracks.xml with the origianal ones it says files are corrupted and i have to verify the game files
does this not work in 2021 or is my iq -68 becuase i probably tried this while following the install notes like 10 times
Question: I've noticed in train speeds and stopping at stations, in the normal speed folder, there's a traintracks.xml that contains a reference to a 'trains13.dat'
There are only 12 in the game without mods, and Improved Trains doesn't come with another one, so what's the extra line for?

i followed the instructions and it doesnt work. is the mod outdated? help?
I followed all instructions, even multiple video tutorials yet nothing happened.. its just acting as normal. Any solutions? or maybe an updated tutorial?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its the freight car that came with the tuners update thats messing this mod up

Por curiosidad, exploré la carpeta del nuevo DLC en busca de modificaciones del tren y no encontré ninguna que fuera la causa. En cambio, descubrí que hay un nuevo trains.xml ubicado en update.rpf->common->data->levels->gta5. Reemplace ese trains.xml con el de este mod y se arreglará.
@elalibanzz I translated that in google translate and it said "Out of curiosity, I explored the new DLC folder for train mods and found none to be the cause. Instead I discovered that there is a new trains.xml located in update.rpf->common->data->levels->gta5. Replace that trains.xml with the one from this mod and it should be fixed." I hope that works and i hope it helps everyone else having the same problem

Followed all steps on youtube, the textures work but no Multipe Engines even when I did replace it and put it in.
You guys aren't doing it right then. The only thing that works for me is the reskin. (Note: I just replaced Trains.xml at this moment so.)
